Now a user on Facebook will not be able to share obscene pictures with someone else without mutual consent. Facebook has now developed a new tool to stop such pictures. This tool will not only prohibit broadcasting such pornographic pictures or revenge porn on Facebook but on its other social media platforms like Messenger and Instagram.

Facebook has issued a press release on Wednesday, saying that this tool is an example of the capability of technology, how it can provide security to the people.

According to Facebook, 92 percent of victims of pornographic photographs without consent in the US complained of severe emotional stress, while 82 percent of victims complained about serious damage to the society, at the workplace and in other areas of public life.

In such a case, if a user finds that someone has shared his obscene pictures with him without his approval, then he can complain through the ‘report’ link. After that a Facebook team will review that picture and if it violates the Community Standard of Facebook it will be removed immediately.

Facebook has said that in most cases, such accounts of pornographic pictures of such kind of consent will also be closed. Not only that, Facebook will stop using photo-matching technology to release that photo again on Facebook, Messenger or Instagram.

Facebook has issued a statement saying, “If a picture has been reported and after that photo has been removed, then we will warn the person sharing the picture that it is going to violate our policies. And we will also try to try to share that image again. ‘
